NONPROFIT MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP: A JOURNAL
While the International Journal of Volunteer
Case Western and the Management School have a commitment to disseminating research on leadership in the nonprofit sector. The mission of their programs is to foster effective management, leadership, and governance of nonprofit organizations in human services; in the arts, education, community development, religion, and other areas. NML is only one of the efforts to achieve that goal.
While this is a scholarly journal, it makes an effort to point that research in the direction of practice. Sometimes only one article may be of interest to the busy practitioner, another issue will be chock-o-block full of articles of interest.
As an example this quarter's issue has an article titled: Sources of Volunteer Motivation: Transformational Leadership and Personal Motives Influence Volunteer Outcomes. You can bet I will read (okay maybe skim) that article. If it relates to volunteers, which it appears to, I will spend more time with it.
The titles of current and past articles are available at the Wiley Online Library. There are summary abstracts of each article. The Wiley Online Library provides more detailed information than this brief overview. An online or paper subscription is $84. Check the Wiley subscription page as there are institutional prices available, too.
