Kickstarter is a new way to fund creative projects.  I have mentioned this Web site on my Twitter page (twitter.com/nlmacduff) and in the pages of Volunteer Today.  It bears repeating.
Kickstarter helps individuals and groups to raise money for films, games, and music, art, design, books, and technology. Kickstarter is full of projects, big and small, that are brought to life through direct support by individuals. Kickstart launched in 2009.  Since then more than 3.9 million people have pledged over $589 million, funding more than 40,000 creative projects.
Kickstarter is a platform and a resource. They not involved in the development of the projects. Anyone can launch a project on Kickstarter as long as it meets the guidelines.
Publishing is one of the areas people fund on Kickstarter.  Imagine an organizational cookbook, or history of the organization. Perhaps a video of the program to use in recruiting.  Get a small committee of volunteers to investigate and make a recommendation.
