BOOKS AND RESOURCES

Explore the world of books, guidelines, online resources to enhance and improve your administration of volunteer programs .

~January 2012~

Social media is an absolute must for bringing out folks for an event, fund raising or otherwise.  Look at the power of flash mobs, often convened using only social media.  Cvent has a new FREE book on how to boost your attendance by using social media.  It provides practical advice on how to get started, how to plan the event, how to identify target markets, and geventetting the word out.  Recommendations on the big four: Twitter, FaceBook, LinkedIn, and YouTube are discussed in detail in this book.  Learn how to use “hashmarks” during an event, for example.

The book is free.  Cvent also sponsors seminars on this and other related topics.
