They are volunteers, too!
Look here for information and the latest techniques to develop your board or committee. The purpose is to help those who work or serve on nonprofit boards of directors or committees.

~September 2011~

The state of New York, like many other states, has had terrible budget problems. The solution: Stop paying nonprofit organizations that deliver services to children, mentally ill, and more. Jayne Cravens, provides insight to how nonprofit boards might be forced to lay-off staff when there is no people at tablemoney coming in and replace those staff with volunteers. Several sources are cited for what a dreadful problem this could cause. Read how this happened in New York, but it could just as easily been Alabama or Oregon.

Jayne has a new blog with continual up-dating on all things volunteer--watch her site for the latest in technology information.
