AllBusiness is a Web site for small businesses. Many nonprofit organizations are also small and can benefit from advice on this site.  One page provides advice on promotion of the business.  Many of the suggestions could be used to promote volunteer opportunities, as well.  There are suggestions on blogs, supporting special events, and sending out press releases.  One nice feature is a list of links to other sites with additional information on advertising and promotion:  how to create a marketing plan; 12 tips to write better brochures; and why a blog makes sense.  This is a jumping off place to other sites that might provide new ideas to promote the volunteer program.
