Idealist.com

Not all resources for those who manage volunteers are in books.  Idealist.com is a wonderful source for those working with volunteers.  It hosts job fairs around the country, has a place to list volunteer opportunities, and a list of consultants on volunteering.  There is an event calendar and links to sites with training opportunities for those who manage volunteers.

         Idealist is a project of Action Without Borders, a nonprofit organization founded in 1995 with offices in the United States and Argentina. Idealist is an interactive site where people and organizations can exchange resources and ideas, locate opportunities and supporters, and take steps toward building a world where all people can lead free and dignified lives.

         There is a member sign in and most services are free to nonprofits (although, not all).  Individuals can sign-on for email up-dates in job searching and other topics.
