Dictionary Follow-Up

How many of you send attachments via email? If you are like me, it is quite often. Recently I learned that Microsoft Office has a nifty short cut, 'Sent to,' which is not only in Word, but also Excel and PowerPoint. Here are the steps to make your life much easier when sending attachments:

1. First, save your document you wish to send (that way if you need it later, you will have it on your computer and it will have a different name besides Document 1).
   
2. Go to the file menu and scroll down to 'Send to'
   
3. Next, chose Mail recipient (As attachment)…



4. This action will open up your default email program, such as Outlook, GroupWise, Entourage, etc. (this will not work for web-based email, such as Yahoo or Hotmail).
   
5. Now that your email is open, notice the attachment is already part of the email. (that's the best part)
6. Next, type in the address or addresses you want to send the email to and click send.

That's it. No fumbling around to remember where you saved the file. No opening and closing programs. It is simply wonderful. Now why didn't that I see this in the owners manual? :o)
